Slack
Your agents, where your team already talks.
Agent Flow for Slack lets your team message Agent Flow agents directly or in channels. Each Slack workspace you connect has its own default agent, channel routes and allowed senders, all managed in Agent Flow.
Talk to UsInstall
- Add Agent Flow to Slack. In Agent Flow, open Integrations, choose Slack and install the Agent Flow app into your Slack workspace. A workspace owner or admin approves the install.
- Choose who answers. Pick the default agent that answers direct messages, and optionally route particular channels to other agents.
- Set who can talk to agents. Leave Allowed senders empty to admit members of your Slack workspace, or list the exact people each agent should answer.
- Invite the app to channels. Type /invite @Agent Flow in a channel. Only channels and group DMs the app is a member of can be routed.
How it works
- Direct messages. Message the Agent Flow app and the default agent replies in the same conversation.
- Channels. Tag @Agent Flow or reply in its thread. The agent answers in a thread under your message, so channels stay readable.
- Reply modes. Each route replies only when tagged, or uses judgement to answer messages clearly meant for it. Ordinary conversation stays unanswered.
- Shared context. Every Slack conversation is linked to the agent’s thread in Agent Flow, where the work can become a tracked issue.
What the app can access
The app reads messages in direct messages with it and in channels and group DMs it has been added to, so agents can answer and keep context. It reads basic profile details (name, display name and email) of people who message it, and posts replies as Agent Flow. Files people share are named to the agent but not downloaded. See the privacy policy for how this data is handled.
